Join our team as a 3D Parts Finisher!

The 3D Parts Finisher will be responsible for support removal, safe cleaning, and finishing of 3D printed SLA and SLS parts. They will be responsible for the routine cleaning of the facility.

What you will do:

  • Clean and finish 3D printed SLA and SLS parts according to RP America procedures. This is achieved by use of sandpaper, bead blasting equipment, chemical baths, and other small tools to prepare parts according to customer specifications.
  • Effectively use all checklists associated with the cleaning and finishing of 3D printed parts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment and assist with the restocking of supplies.
  • Assist in the removal and disposal of contaminated materials according to RP America procedures.
  • Observe all RP America safety and quality procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

What it takes:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (or higher)
  • Experience in 3D printing model finishing, particularly with SLA and SLS technologies, preferred.
  • Rigid attention to detail with the capacity to work with small features and tight tolerances.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and focus on the specific details involved in accurately finishing parts.
  • Periods of high concentration and visual focus when finishing small and intricate parts.
  • Normal duties require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, lab coats, and gloves.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to take direction and adapt quickly to a constantly fluid environment.
  • Ability to learn proper caliper use for the accurate measuring of dimensions while part finishing.
  • Manual dexterity required for working with delicate parts and equipment.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and work well in a team environment.
  • Work involves infrequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds.
  • Some basic computer skills necessary.

$20.00 - $26.00/hr based on experience

Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications.

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands and arms, talk, see and hear. Work Environment:

Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; with eye protection and safety shoes required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
