RP America, an industry leader that specializes in support and service of industrial stereolithography (SLA) and selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printers, is seeking a full-time Inventory Manager/Sourcing Specialist.

The Inventory Manager/Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying and evaluating technical and engineered components while effectively managing inventory levels to support maintenance and development operations. This role combines strategic sourcing with hands-on inventory control to ensure the right parts are available at the right time and cost. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, supplier management skills, and an analytical approach to optimizing both procurement and inventory processes.

What you will do:

  • Ownership of fulfilling of field engineer parts/tools requests, and all RP Support shipments
    • Package and create shipping labels, ensure pickup
    • Manage core returns, evaluation, and logging back into physical and Odoo inventory
  • Responsible for development and utilization of RP Support inventory system using Odoo ERP
    • Ownership of RP Support inventory counts
    • Establish min/max levels for all RP Support inventory components and manage inventory levels accordingly
  • Ownership of RP Support sourcing strategy
    • Develop sourcing and/or refurbishment strategy for critical components - PCs, laser heads, power supplies, circuit boards, etc.
    • Responsible for determining in-house vs outsourced refurbishment on applicable parts.
    • Provide recommendation to purchasing manager for any outsourced repair needs.
    • Responsible for continuous improvement of repair process/system.
    • Provide purchasing manager with recommendations for alternate sources for parts in the event of unavailability. Goal of maintaining supply continuity for all parts, even through changes in supplier base.

Responsible for cross training RP Support shop team and documenting the process.

What it takes:

  • 3+ years inventory management experience in an industrial setting
  • 3+ years experience in technical sourcing, supplier identification, etc.
  • Working knowledge of various computer and CAD software; Microsoft, SolidWorks and Magics experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical information
  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box for customer solutions
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills, including courtesy, tact and discretion
  • Self-reliant but also not afraid to ask questions when needed
  • Ability to work well independently and with others
  • Experience in additive manufacturing is preferred

Wage: $60,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience/qualifications

Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications.

Work Environment:

Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; with eye protection and safety shoes required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
